Mafia. Well, that was something she wasn't expecting. Still on the floor, she looked up at him, hair and dress in disarray. She thought about that information as she slowly rose to her feet, smoothing out her heavily wrinkled dress. Wren reached out for his hand to lead him to the couch and then asked where the first aid kit was. In the kitchen, of course. With a bit of rooting around and one handy microwave later, she came back with the kit, a cup of hot tea with the bag still in place, and the gun she found taped to the underside of one of the counters. That piece she held in a way so as not to be as unthreatening as possible, setting it on the end table closest to him. The safety was still on. "For you so you feel safe here," she said, setting the other things down on the coffee table before sitting herself. "Safe houses never really feel safe, I don't think." And then she started the process of tending to his wounds, her touches sure as she dabbed and wiped and applied. Wren didn't say anything about his family until she was done, taking the tea bag out of the cup and squeezing most of the excess out and gently placed it over his bruised cheek, taking his free hand to have him hold it in place.

Taking a breath, she let her eyes roam over the coffee table and used supplies, back to Kim's face. "So what you're saying is that you're afraid of being with me. I understand." She offered a small smile. "I am a liability. How can you keep yourself in one piece if you're worrying about me, right? What would happen to you if something happened to me. I have to agree, that thought it terrifying. So right now, there's only one way to get out of this mess, that I can see."

Her eyes locked in on Kim's, her voice steady as a rock as she sat beside him, hands folded in her lap. "You're going to have to shoot me, then. Kill me. You won't have to worry about that what if, then. And you can go back to being molded into what they're turning you into." It was the biggest risk to take, but she felt she knew him better than being a cold killer, the heartless man he'd been trying to hard to convince her that he was. In that moment, she placed all her trust in the Kim she had seen peeking though the exteriors and layers of armor and walls, and waited. Like the air around her sucked itself in and she waited for his response.
